A Little About Me

Hey there.

Welcome. It's been a while since I have talked about me, so I thought I would introduce (or reintroduce) myself.

I have been practicing massage therapy since 2000. I have worked in a variety of different settings including spas, chiropractic offices, physical therapy clinics, and fitness centers.

The variety of environments has allowed me to really experience all different aspects of massage and bodywork. There were so many more avenues than I ever thought existed.
What I found out in my experiences is that I truly enjoy two very opposite aspects of my field.

I enjoy relaxation massage as it has been truly rewarding to offer my clients a safe and warm environment for them to let go of the stresses of everyday life, even if for only and hour. Having a client doze off on the table is one of the best form of flattery for me when providing relaxation massage and reflexology.

The other type of massage I truly love is not you typical massage by any means.  I truly love manual therapy.  I love the interactive approach and the detective work of getting to know my clients, their history, and putting all the pieces together to help them move more confidently and with less pain. I love seeing clients gain a sense of body awareness while also taking back control of their body.

Outside of my professional life, I am a wife and mother of two beautiful daughters. My husband and I were both born and raised in south suburban Chicago, moved away, and returned to our hometown to start our family. when I am not with my family, I can be found practicing Kettlebell Sport, crocheting and knitting, trying to make something of my garden.
